Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix had an early aptitude to play sports while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic ability at the at the time. Ten weeks after the first trial she took her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The youngest winner of the 200-meter race in the world championships in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, defeating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes at her particular events.
